Monday's work has been developed to further establish staff knowledge and application of the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics and English Language Arts. Specifically, staff will be working collaboratively to further understand the ELA anchor standards and Math practices:
Anchor Standards - Reading
Anchor Standards - Writing
Anchor Standards - Speaking and Listening
Anchor Standards - Language
Math Practices
On our second day of inservice RES staff will be working together sharing resources and ideas about the Reader's Workshop model of instruction, specifically discussing independent reading strategies and vertical development of expectations. In addition to our literacy work, staff will spend time as grade level teams digging into data driven decision making, looking for ways to use data to inform our instructional strategies and practices.
