The Cougar Cub Courier newspaper was started in the fall of 2011 as an "Enrichment For All" after school program for students in grades 3 and 4. That first year the whole school voted on what our paper would be called and "Cougar Cub Courier" won. We try to publish two issues per year--one in the fall and one in the spring (except one year it was just one larger issue in the spring). The students that form the news team come up with the stories and angles for their stories, take the photos and do the writing with limited help from their editor (she does try to fact-check though and make grammatical edits). This is its fourth publication.
