Chittenden East Supervisory Union staff participated in coordinated professional development opportunities today.  Inservice days like today provide us an opportunity to enhance our programming, instructional strategies and participate in professional collaboration.

Third and fourth grade CESU educators unpacked Common Core State Standards math content standards to continue to plan for conceptual shifts in instruction.  Teachers are thoughtfully considering where these concepts are intentionally integrated into our instructional practices.

Kindergarten, first and second grade educators worked within the Lucy Calkin's Units of Study in Writing, sharing and refining instructional strategies within reading and writing informational texts. 

Common Core State Standards, Social Cognition, Visual Phonics and other curriculum alignment efforts went on throughout the day as well.  Preschool educators met to collectively discuss early education supports for students throughout our supervisory union.  

We appreciate these times to continue to hone our craft and improve upon the opportunities for our scholars.
