FOCUS and Farm to School Volunteer Opportunities #vted #resvt #cesuvt

FOCUS has served Richmond Elementary School’s learning community, town and families for many years.  FOCUS serves to coordinate, support and advance programs for families and scholars through the organization and funding of events and resources throughout the year.

This year FOCUS will be seeking your input for important decisions in how FOCUS organizes events, designates funds, or creates new opportunities for our learners.  Please be on the lookout for surveys and polls as they come up throughout the year.

Each month members of the FOCUS team will meet to discuss upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and requests for support.  Please feel free to contact Sherri, Michael or Hilary with questions, thoughts, compliments or ideas:

Our first opportunity is coming up just around the corner.  We’re looking for help with our Farm to School Pasta Dinner and our Open House nights which have also hosted a FOCUS bake sale in past years (great for dessert after the Farm to School Pasta Dinner).  We are looking for a few sources of support for these events:

• someone to run the bake sale table on each night from 6-7 (Wednesday, September 17th third and fourth grade; Thursday, September 18th Pre - k through second grade)
• people to provide us with some excellent baked goods!
• Farm to School Fresh Pasta Dinner Please come and support the RES Farm to School Program by joining us for our annual Fresh Pasta Dinner on Wednesday (9/17) and/or Thursday (9/18) from 5:00-6:00. The dinner menu consists of homemade food from local ingredients which will be sure to fuel you through Open House. The cost is $5.00 per person. Additionally, and most importantly, it will take some volunteers to make this event happen so please click on the link below to sign-up to help.
