Learn to
play a stringed instrument with the Mountain Strings Program
The Mountain Strings program, a
non-profit organization, has provided low-cost stringed instrument instruction
for students in the Chittenden
East School
District for over 10 years. It is an excellent way to introduce your
child to the joy of making music with friends and peers. Winter and spring concerts are held at Mount Mansfield High School.
Classes for the second semester would
begin as soon as we can form the groups—anticipated start date is mid-September—and
lessons at RES would be Thursday after school. Some funds are available for scholarships.
Instrument
selection includes violin, viola,
and cello and—new this year—guitar, limited to instructor
availability.
