My name is Wendy Purvee. I live in Burlington with my three children and my husband, Mike. Our oldest child, Isabella, is 12 years old and in 7th grade; our twins, Sullivan and McKenna, are 10 years old and in 5th grade. This is my 14th year teaching at RES.
I earned a BA in Pyschology from UVM and completed a Post Baccalaureate program in elementary education at UVM. I am currently working on a Master's degree in early childhood special education.
One of my favorite memories from working at RES is when I was thrown a baby shower by my students many years ago. The children created two beautiful quilts for my twins and surprised me with them.
