Sign up to be a Four Winds Volunteer! #resvt #cesuvt

The first Four Winds training is Tuesday, September 17th, at 8:15am. Come to a welcome breakfast beforehand at 7:45.

Volunteering as a Four Winds teacher is a fun and rewarding way to get to know the RES community, learn a lot, and share your love of the natural world with RES children. You need only interest and enthusiasm--no specialized knowledge is required. A well designed curriculum and training in how to teach it is provided. This year’s curriculum theme is “Patterns in Nature.”

Volunteers (2-4 per classroom) team-teach 6 sessions of about one hour each during the school year. Preceding each session, volunteers receive a two-hour training taught by a professional environmental educator.

Trainings will be held Tuesday mornings from 8:15 to 10:15 am on:
Sept. 17October 15November 19January 7March 11, and April 29.

Classroom teaching times are set by each team in consultation with the classroom teacher. The total time commitment for the school year: approximately 24 hours (includes an additional hour of prep time per class). For more information or to sign up contact Lauren Esserman, Four Winds RES Coordinator, Esserman@gmavt.net, or 802-999-7514. Or sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/805084FABAD229-four2
