Hi, my name is Marian Mumford. My husband and I lived in Richmond for 22 years, where we raised two children and started our business, Perfection Motor Sports and Trailer Sales. Three years ago Peter and I moved to Williston with our two Labrador Retrievers. I like to swim, kayak, snowshoe, walk my dogs in the woods, read, and get together with friends. I have worked at Richmond Elementary School for 12 years and currently teach kindergarten. My prior teaching experience includes teaching preschool, first, and second grade. I have a BS degree in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Vermont, a Master’s degree in Education from Saint Michael’s College, and a Reading/English Language Specialist Endorsement. I serve on the Chittenden East District Communications (Literacy) Committee and the RES PBIS committee. I continue my professional development by taking classes in technology, math, reading, and writing. Some of my favorite memories from RES have been watching how excited my students get when they get together with their new friends, see the first snowflakes of the season fall outside our classroom window, and study ants in the spring.
