A FAREWELL TO PRESCHOOL
Today marked the
final day of school for Preschoolers at RES.
The young scholars
spent their last days of learning engaged in a student elected sewing
activity. In the classroom with dimmed
lights, cozy pillows, a basket over flowing with books and a quiet atmosphere
set the stage for independent reading time! Cozy pillows are a RES preschool literacy
symbol and young readers view books and pillows as one; it is hard to enjoy one
without the other.
In preparation for
summer reading activities, the scholars designed, stitched, and stuffed flannel
pillows. They also received a bright, new book featuring many new pictures and
words provided by FOCUS! The comfy cushions and books will provide hours of
relaxation and reading fun throughout the lazy, crazy,
hazy, days of summer!
