After School Enrichment Session 1--Enrollment Next Week!




The RES after school enrichment session will be kicking off in October with a full set of great courses!  Enrollment forms will be sent home on Monday October 7th and will be due by Wednesday October 9th.  

All classes are on Mondays from 2:30 - 3:30pm. The first class in this first six week series begins Monday October 14th.

Check out the great offerings that will be available in this first session!! We encourage you to talk to your child about their interests and share these great opportunities! Please note that not all classes are offered to every grade every session.
 
Break Dancing: Do you have the beat? Do you love to move? Students learn the basic moves in this energetic dance class. (gr 2- 4 )
Celtic Dance: Learn a variety of Celtic Dance steps in this energetic class! Beginners welcome. (gr K-2)
Cooking:  Join us to learn how to cook a variety of different recipes. (gr 3 -4)
Doll Crafts and Games: Bring your favorite doll and make different things for it each week (gr 1-2 )
Drama: Learn physical, vocal & emotional skills to encourage creativity, imagination & confidence (gr 2-4 )
Farm to School Art: Use a variety of materials to create art for the Cafeteria and home. (gr K-2 )
Fun with Nature Crafts: Have fun collecting various materials from nature to make unique crafts (gr 3-4)
RES New Team: Do you like to get the scoop? Are you good at finding the story? From reporting to investigating, interviewing to photographing—this is the activity for you! We will be exploring what goes into a school newspaper, including graphic layout, putting together our RES newsprint, using school technology (gr 3- 4)
School Garden Extensions:  Are you interested in food? Do you like getting your hands dirty? Do you want to help make the school garden stronger, bigger, and better? This class will have students working in the garden and the kitchen classroom, harvesting the last produce, planting for next spring and utilizing ingredients from the garden in simple recipes (gr 1-4)
Yoga:  Yoga Kids is a playful way to learn and practice yoga. We play games, create stories, and move our bodies. Encompasses nature, whether we are in a dog pose or floating through the ocean. Every class is a new experience with elements of what we have learned. We end each class with relaxation and visualizations (gr 1-2)
