Richmond Elementary Farm to School's 5th Annual Harvest Festival #resvt #vted #cesuvt

Richmond Elementary Farm to School's 5th Annual Harvest Festival proved to be another successful, lively, and fun event! The West Monitor Barn, both inside and outside, was buzzing with music, chatter, and activity as friends, families, farmers, and community gathered together on Saturday, October 25th, to support Richmond Elementary Farm to School, a program that strives to get fresh, local foods into cafeterias and provide farm, food, and nutrition education in our classrooms, cafeteria, and community. The success of this Harvest Festival was made possible by a long list of contributors. We would like to thank the vendors that joined us with their beautiful and delicious offerings: VYCC, Jericho Settlers' Farm, Maple Wind Farm, Slopeside Syurp, Ariel's Infusions, Sunflower Soaps, Starbird Fish, the Backdoor Bakery, Midnight Goat Farm, and Ewetopia Farm. Our thanks also go out to the long list of volunteers who donated their time and talents over the course of the last several weeks to make this event come to fruition. Additionally, we would also like to acknowledge the many donors for their generous contributions to our event. And lastly, we thank the Richmond community and beyond for coming out and showing your support. It is clear that Farm to School is a valued and important part of the community and we are looking forward to another year filled with more delicious, local food, more tips to the farms, and more community connections.
